How to play

Each player bids the tricks they mean to take, and your side’s two bids form its contract. Follow suit if you can; spades trump everything and may not be led until one has fallen. Make the contract to score ten times the bid, fall short and lose it. Each trick over is a bag worth a point, but ten bags cost a hundred. First side to three hundred wins.

Tips

Count your sure tricks, aces and high trumps, before you bid, and do not pad the count. Avoid needless bags, and dare a nil only with a hand of low cards you can reliably duck.
