About Pinochle

How to play
Each hand opens with an auction; win it and your side names trump and must make its bid. Lay your melds for points, marriages, a pinochle, a run in trump, aces around, then play twelve tricks, following suit and beating the trump when you can, to gather the point cards. Meld plus tricks must make your bid or your side is set. First to a hundred and fifty wins.

Tips
Count your meld before you bid and add only the trick points you can honestly take. Lead trump early to strip your rivals and protect the aces you mean to score.
