Freehold
Raise the whole place with your own two hands.
Prices are honest 2026 ballparks, not quotes. Everything before the Frontier shelf is real; the Frontier is tomorrow's catalog, waiting on a startup.
About Freehold
Freehold is a cozy homestead-automation idler. Start with $9,500 and a bare acre, then raise the whole place with your own two hands: buy the right tools, frame a timber house, wire the solar, hire a crew, and buy the next field. Every price is an honest 2026 ballpark, so the numbers mean something. It plays free in your browser, with no ads and no sign-up.
How to play
You are the machine. Each day gives fourteen daylight hours and one active build, and tapping the worksite puts in a quarter-hour swing alongside your crew. Mind the chores: every coop, garden, and herd adds daily work that gets covered before your ambitions, and anything left undone drags production down to a third. Automate with gadgets and self-written routines to win your hours back, keep the power supplied, then scale up with hired hands, more land, and the Frontier shelf. The dream vault waits beneath it all.

Tips
Buy the tool before the task: there is no framing without a circular saw, and a nail gun frames faster. Cover your chores first, since uncovered work quietly starves every producer. Solar without batteries wastes almost half of what it makes, so store the power you cannot spend the same day.
