Catechism is the taproom quiz in the grand old style, played like Trivial Pursuit: six branches of knowledge, four souls at the table, and the first to seal all six takes the night. Free in your browser, no ads, no sign-up.

How to play

On your turn, choose a branch you have not yet sealed and answer one question of it. Answer rightly and the seal is yours; falter and the turn passes on. The six branches are the Chronicle (history), the Chart (geography), the Physic (science and nature), the Folio (arts and letters), the Green (sport and games), and the Bestiary (myth and legend). Seal all six to win.

Tips

Chase your strong branches early to build a lead, but deny a leading rival by taking the branch they still need. A wrong answer only passes the turn, so it is worth a guess when you can narrow the field.
