Manu Games LLC ("we," "us," or "our") built Manu Idle (the "App") as a privacy-first experience for Apple users. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
We only use Apple's native frameworks, including CloudKit for optional cloud syncing of your game data. We do not collect, store, or process any user credentials, personal identifiers, or third-party data.
Information We Collect
We collect the absolute minimum data required to deliver the App's core features:
- Game and Character Data — To save and sync your character information (e.g., progress, settings, and customizations), the App uses Apple's CloudKit service. This data is stored exclusively in your private iCloud account and is encrypted end-to-end by Apple. We have no access to it.
- No Personal Information — We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, device identifiers, or any other personally identifiable information.
- No Analytics or Tracking — We do not use any analytics tools, crash reporting, or tracking. There are no third-party libraries, SDKs, or services involved.
- Future Optional Features — We may add opt-in features like leaderboards in the future. These would involve only minimal, non-personal data that you explicitly choose to share.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Enable seamless cloud syncing of your game data across your Apple devices via CloudKit.
- Provide and improve the App's core gameplay features.
- Support future optional features like leaderboards, only with your consent.
We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purposes unrelated to the App.
Sharing and Disclosure
- With Apple — Your game data is shared only with Apple through CloudKit for storage and syncing.
- No Third Parties — We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your information to any third parties, advertisers, or partners.
- Public Features — For optional leaderboards, any shared data would be visible to other users only if you opt in.
- Legal Requirements — We may disclose information if required by law, and will notify you where possible.
Data Security
Your data is protected by Apple's industry-leading security:
- CloudKit uses end-to-end encryption and is stored in your private iCloud database.
- We follow Apple's best practices for data handling, with no servers of our own.
- You control your data entirely through iCloud settings on your device.
Your Rights and Choices
- View, Edit, or Delete — Manage or delete your game data anytime via your device's iCloud settings.
- Opt Out — Disable cloud syncing or future leaderboards in the App's settings.
- California Residents (CCPA/CPRA) — You have the right to know what personal information we collect (none), request deletion, and opt out of any sales (we do not sell data).
- EEA Residents (GDPR) — You have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or port your data.
Children's Privacy
The App is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately. We comply with COPPA and similar laws.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The effective date at the top will be updated, and we will notify you of material changes via the App or a prominent notice.
