Word Search is the classic pencil pastime made nightly: a twelve-by-twelve field of letters hiding twelve words from a themed list, with a fresh theme every night, the same for everyone, and endless fresh fields besides. Race the clock; the fastest full clears go on the community board. Free in your browser, no ads, no sign-up.

How to play

Twelve words hide in the field, laid in any of the eight directions, forwards or backwards, sharing letters where they please. The list beside the field names your quarry. Drag from a word’s first letter to its last to claim it, or tap the first letter and then the last. Found words stay inked on the field; find all twelve and the field is cleared.

Tips

Scan for the rare letters first: a Q, X or Z in the list pins its word to a handful of cells. Sweep the field in rows for first letters, and remember every word may run backwards or on the diagonal. The counsel button will show you where an unfound word begins.
