Hex
Join your sides. Sever theirs.
The deal is out.
About Hex
Hex is the connection duel on an eleven-by-eleven lattice, played against the Tiler. Join your two sides in an unbroken chain before your opponent joins theirs. Play solo or live at the open tables, free in your browser, no ads, no sign-up.
How to play
You hold the top and bottom edges, your opponent the left and right. Place one stone a turn on any empty cell, each cell touching six neighbours. The first to link their two sides with an unbroken chain takes the board, and the old theorem promises there are never any draws. The swap rule keeps the opening fair: after the first stone, the second player may claim it as their own.

Tips
Every stone both builds your road and blocks your opponent’s, so drive the short diagonal through the center. Connect with bridges, two stones a knight’s-move apart, which cannot be cut in a single move.
