Scopa is the Italian fishing classic, two-handed against the Pardoner, played with a forty-card pack. Fish cards by value, sweep the table for a point, and count the reckoning. Play solo or live at the open tables, free in your browser, no ads, no sign-up.

How to play

Play a card and it captures a table card of the same value, or a set of cards that sums to it, with a single card always barring the sum; if a capture is possible, you must take it. Clear the whole table for a scopa, a point on the spot. At the end, score for most cards, most denari, the sette bello, and the primiera. First to eleven.

Tips

Guard the sette bello, the seven of coins, and the denari suit; they swing the count. Avoid leaving the table at a sum your opponent can clear for a scopa.
